It's a rare away fixture for Winchester City Flyers who head north to take on Beaconsfield Town in the Southern Region Premier Division.

The Flyers have played only three league away games this term, as the schedule has given them more home games.

Beaconsfield were promoted to the Premier Division after a successful campaign in the Southern Region Division One North and have settled into tier 5 life well, currently occupying third place.

The Rams head into Sunday's fixture in mixed form with three wins in their last six league fixtures.

Whilst there have been strong wins over Woodley United and Sholing - home and away - they also had heavy losses against Oxford City, Wycombe Wanderers and most recently Reading.

Only two sides have conceded more goals than Beaconsfield this season, but while they've been letting in a lot, they have scored almost as many.

Henna Hussain (9) and Katie Riddington (8) have led the line for the Rams as they look to maintain their tier 5 status.

Last weekend, Town fell to a 4-1 loss at Arbour Park against former Women's Super League outfit Reading; Molly Carter scored an 80th minute consolation goal.

Emma Pearmine's side is looking to maintain their form and to continue putting the pressure on leaders Wycombe.

Winchester are second level on points with Beaconsfield, but having played four games fewer than Sunday's hosts.

The Flyers are on a run of six unbeaten games in all competitions, which has seen them rise up the league table and reach the quarter-finals of the Hampshire Women's Senior Cup and the Southern Region Premier Division.

At the forefront of that rise is September signing Chelsie Hay.

The striker joined from Havant & Waterlooville and has scored 12 times in nine games.

Compared to this time last season, the Flyers are five points better off having played two games fewer and are four places higher up in the table.

Beaconsfield will be looking for revenge for their defeat at the Charters Community Stadium.

Hay opened the scoring against a strong side, and it took until the 100th minute of the game for Annie Northwood to score and secure the three points for the Flyers.

Whoever picks up the win will start February in second place as the race for promotion heats up..
