AFC Bournemouth of the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier are the next visitors to the Charters Community Stadium.
The Hampshire Women’s Senior Cup quarter-final sees Winchester City Flyers host the Tier 4 side with a chance to cause an upset.
In the last round, the Flyers were 3-0 winners over AFC Stoneham thanks to goals from Chelsie Hay, Emma Whitlock and Shayne Prasad.
The Purps had held firm against Winchester going into the break goalless but five minutes after the restart, Hay scored the opener.
A flurry of changes was made by Emma Pearmine, and then the Flyers took charge as Whitlock and Prasad netted to secure the win and a place in the quarter-finals.
For the Cherries, they usually feature their First Team and Development squad in the County Cup; however, this season, they have opted for just one entrant.
In the previous round, they took on Sholing at Ringwood Community Hub with the squad featuring only development players, the First Team were in action against Manchester City in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
The Young Cherries ran out 4-0 winners against the Southampton-based side, Elin Starck bagged a brace.
Evie Murphy opened the scoring in the first-half before Starck struck twice in three minutes, and then Amie Cooper wrapped up the win just a couple of minutes before the end.
On Sunday, the Flyers are expecting to see a more senior team appear at the Charters as Helen Bleazard’s side will want to put right last season’s final as they lost their crown to Southampton FC Women under-21s.
