Winchester City Flyers head into Sunday's Southern Region Premier Division match on a five-game winning streak.

Last weekend's 2-0 win over Southampton Women's was the first clean sheet of the season and meant Emma Pearmine's side went three games unbeaten in the league.

Their recent good form has seen them reach the First Round Proper of the Women's FA Cup for the third season running and are looking to make the Second Round for the first time in the club's history.

Sunday's opposition come to the Charters Community Stadium in search of their first win of the season.

Woodley have seen a lot of changes to their playing squad from last season, and they started the season with a decent 2-2 draw with Beaconsfield Town.

They will feel aggrieved, though, to have let a 2-0 lead go after Ella Smith and Caitlin Kemp put them in front.

Beaconsfield hit back despite having Abbie Reid sent off in the 52nd minute.

Goals from Zuzanna Wojtaszewska and Amelia Kimble ensured the spoils were shared on the opening day.

Since then, Woodley have been narrowly beaten by Chesham United, Fleet Town and Abingdon United Development - 3-2, 1-0 and 3-2 respectively.

They were knocked out of the FA Cup by Chesham, losing 4-1 to their league rivals after the narrow 3-2 defeat the previous week.

Games between Woodley and the Flyers have always been interesting affairs.

In recent years, the Flyers have dominated at home against Woodley, while the away legs have been trickier.

A win for the away side would be a welcome boost as they currently sit second from bottom on one point, while a Flyers win will keep them in touch with the top of the table depending on the rest of the league's results.
