A place in the semi-finals of the Hampshire Women's Senior Cup will be the reward for the winner between Winchester City Flyers and Southampton FC under-21s.

The Flyers come into the game in their best run of form in years with seven consecutive wins in all competitions including the 2-1 win over AFC Stoneham in the previous round.

For the Saints, they are in mixed form but were empathic 12-0 winners in the last round over AFC Varsity.

It will be Winchester's toughest match of the season going up against the PGA side whose first team compete in the Barclays Women's Championship.

Southampton's recent results include a 2-2 draw with Durham u21s before northerners won 4-3 on penalties and a 3-1 defeat away to Chelsea.

The Flyers come into the game full of confidence following last Sunday's dominant win over Reading in the Southern Region Premier Division.

It was a high intensity performance for the home side against the Royals.

While it took nearly half an hour for Winchester to break the deadlock once it was broken they never looked back.

A first-half brace for Libby Wilkinson and a nice finish from Vinnie Nkomo gave the Flyers a 3-0 lead at the break before turning up the heat in the second-half.

Eliza Eaton smashed in quickly after the restart before Charlene Rooney and Kayleigh Tonks put the game further out of reach of Reading.

Annie Northwood piled on even more misery to the Royals with two late goals for herself and take her season tally up to 20 goals in all competitions.
