Winchester City Flyers picked up a fifth consecutive win in all competitions, beating Beaconsfield Town 2-0 at home in the Southern Region Premier Division.
Chelsie Hay converted from the spot in the first-half to give the Flyers a 1-0 lead.
The second-half was an even affair, but substitute Annie Northwood scored a late goal to seal the win.
Emma Pearmine made three changes to the side that beat Yeovil Town in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, with five key players missing from the team.
It was an even start to the opening exchanges.
Hay found her way blocked by the Beaconsfield defence while Henna Hussain shot wide for the visitors.
The Rams enjoyed a period of pressure on the Winchester back line.
Hannah Chalk and Ellie Parker were called into action before Hussain was gifted an opportunity that she could only clear the crossbar with.
Chances were limited for both sides; Hay was caught offside for the Flyers, then Shayne Prasad headed over from a corner before she skied another great opportunity.
With eight minutes before the break, Hay burst into the box and was pushed from behind, where the referee pointed to the spot.
The former Moneyfields striker stepped up and sent the goalkeeper, Olivia Sieradzka, the wrong way.
Hay had another opportunity right on the stroke of half-time, only to be halted by the offside flag.
The second-half continued much like the first, with most of the battles occurring in the midfield and few clear-cut chances in front of goal.
Winchester grew into the game as Pearmine made three changes that saw Eloise Powell-Rowland, Northwood and Laker introduced to the game.
Within minutes, Northwood forced Sieradzka into a couple of close-range blocks.
Play was then stopped for a while due to a serious injury to Libby Wilkinson, who had to be helped off the pitch.
In the 83rd minute, Parker had to stretch to her right and pulled off a great save to deny Hussain the equaliser.
Minutes later, Beaconsfield went close again, a great free-kick struck the underside of the crossbar.
Parker was alert deep into injury-time as the ball ping ponged around the box, where the keeper eventually smothered the ball.
With virtually the last kick of the game, Northwood netted her fifth goal and the second of the afternoon.
Hay put pressure on the fullback, whose poor back pass was pounced on by Northwood to slot past the keeper.
With the final whistle, the Flyers grabbed their third win of the season and leapfrogged Beaconsfield into second.
