Winchester City Flyers recorded a spectacular 14-0 win over Tier 7 side Dorchester Town in the Second Qualifying Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

Shayne Prasad netted a first-half hat-trick alongside goals for Emma Whitlock, Charlie Snelling and Vinnie Knomo that saw the Flyers race to a 6-0 lead.

Nkomo completed her hat-trick in the second while Annie Northwood came off the bench to score four while there were goals for Jazz Pearmine and Laura da Silva to conclude the win.

Winchester headed into the game looking to install some confidence after a tough start to the season with back-to-back defeats.

Emma Pearmine chose a strong side to face Dorchester and made four changes to the starting line-up from the Woodley United loss.

It was a fast start for the Flyers who had a few earlier chances and had the deadlock broken inside five minutes.

Ellie Parker played out to Sam Burt to play inside to Whitlock who strode forwards and found the outlet of Prasad who raced onto the cross and tucked home the ball for the opener.

The hosts put the Magpies under a lot of pressure and Nkomo set up Whitlock to shoot from 25-yards to score her first goal for the club in the 14th minute.

Five minutes later, captain J.Pearmine brought the ball down to square it for Snelling to smash in from outside the area.

On the half-hour mark Prasad turned provider crossing for the awaiting Nkomo who chested the ball down before finishing on the half-volley.

Whitlock was enjoying life in midfield when she found Prasad on her left to cut inside and curl the ball into the net for the second of the afternoon.

Charlotte Warhurst then drove out from defence as the game headed towards the break to pick out Prasad who ran into the box taking her time before shooting to complete her hat-trick on the stroke of half-time.

The manager E.Pearmine looked to her bench and introduced Hannah Chalk and Lydia Moulding for Burt and Charlene Rooney.

Within less than a minute of the restart, Nkomo had her second finishing from a first-time cross by Eloise Powell-Rowland.

It wasn’t long before Nkomo scored her first hat-trick for the club on debut as Dorchester initially blocked the shot of J.Pearmine.

Northwood had been on the pitch for three minutes before she found the net from da Silva’s pass.

The skipper scored for 40-yards out from a free-kick on the far side to make it 10-0 although it took most in the ground a while to realise it had crossed the line.

Da Silva had had several chances during the game to score and finally grabbed her first Winchester goal in the 70th minute when Whitlock fizzed the ball into her.

The Portuguese born forward turned her defender before firing home.

As the game edged towards its conclusion, Northwood scored another three goals within four minutes.

With the final whistle came a resounding win for the Flyers who had shown the difference in levels between the teams on the day.
