Winchester City Flyers put in a five star performance with a 5-0 win over Beaconsfield Town in the Southern Region League Cup.
Kayleigh Tonks turned home a Sharna Capel-Watson corner in the first-half before the right back scored direct from the corner and Libby Wilkinson netted from a free-kick.
As the game headed towards it's conclusion there was another two goals within two minutes as Annie Northwood got her 21st of the season and Wilkinson completed the win with her second of the game.
Winchester came into the game knowing that they would need to be at their best to stop promotion seeking Beaconsfield from causing an upset at the Charters Community Stadium.
The Flyers had a positive start to the game as both teams battled with the strong winds.
Both teams struggled to carve out any clear cut chances.
Beaconsfield tried to hit Winchester on the counter as a Harris cross found it's way out to Davern who's effort was blocked by McDonough.
The quality of football on display was lacking for the spectators who watched on from the stands.
Winchester eventually started to pick out and bring the wingers into play as Eliza Eaton was able to drive down the line to pull the ball back from Wilkinson who fired wide.
McDonough then thought she was put through by Vinnie Nkomo's looping cross but the assistant referee had flagged her offside and soon after Beaconsfield's Harris blasted a shot over from range.
In the 36th minute Winchester had a corner and former Moneyfields fullback Capel-Watson stepped up to take.
Capel-Watson served up a great delivery that found the head of Tonks to tap in for the opener.
Minutes later and Beaconsfield were nearly caught out when Tonks flicked the ball on towards the six-yards box and the centre back almost scored an own goal.
The goal had seemed to have settled the Flyers down who pushed on as the game headed towards half-time but the hosts could only take a one goal lead into the break.
Winchester came flying out the blocks continuing from where they left off the first-half and within three minutes of the restart Wilkinson was lining up to take a free-kick.
The midfielder is enjoying her best return for the club and put power behind the set piece that Phillips couldn't hold onto as it flicked up from her body and into the net.
Three minutes later and the lead turned to 3-0.
Capel-Watson stood over another corner and this one curled into the box - with some wind assistance - and found the back of the net although Lydia Moulding getting the final touch right on the line. After much deliberation the goal was awarded to Capel-Watson.
Chances kept coming for the Flyers with Prasad unlucky not put a shot away while Beaconsfield were alert to the danger to prevent the ball from finding Wilkinson.
The second-half was turning into a much better half for the hosts who had once foot into the semi-finals.
Moulding was kept busy at the back and made several blocks to keep out Beaconfield.
Goalkeeper Ellie Parker hadn't had a whole lot to do with a lot of comfortable claims made but she was nearly able to claim an assist when Northwood tried to gamble on her drop kick only to shoot wide under pressure.
The game was drawing to a close but striker Northwood grabbed a goal in the 88th minute.
McDonough had driven out of defence taking on several players before playing through to Northwood who tried to wedge herself through both centre backs to just poke the ball past the keeper and in.
Two minutes later and Wilkinson heaped on more misery for the visitors.
Northwood won the ball back to play inside to Tonks who found Wilkinson with time and space to drive towards the box and chipped the onrushing Phillips to bag her second of the afternoon and Winchester's fifth.
The final whistle came not long after as the Flyers progressed to the League Cup Semi-final for the first time in five years.
Winchester have been drawn away to Sholing in the next round and if they win the semi will face the winner of Ascot United vs Portchester.
